Hi everyone,

sorry we have not blogged for a while but we have been too busy wasting our money crapping or is it playing craps (for those of you who think we are being crude - craps is actually a game). we have just come back from the pool where we have been drinking cocktails and listening to live music. sometimes breaking from this to take a dip in the pool as it is 102 degrees.

We took a small plane to the grand canyon (only 8 seats) and the pilot was the spitting image of Ned Flanders - we will put up the pictures to prove it when we get to a computer that allows us to do so. When we got to there we took a helicopter ride to the bottom of the canyon - slightly worried as verity was the co pilot!! When we arriced at the bottom we took a boat along the colorado river - amazing stuff.

The weather has not always been nice - we have had a few stormy days - out came the emer bgency ponchos - verity was not a happy camper. (still no photos of that - sorry). As the weather was not very good one morning we went to a time share presentation - shad no interest in what they were selling but received free tickets to see a show and $75 vouchers to spend in the casino (also a 3 day cruise in the carribean). not bad for listening to someone talk about how important family holidays are and attempting to convince us time shares are not a con.

We are staying in the hotel excalibur, which is a giant castle - next to the luxor and New York New York. The casino is huge and keeping hold of verity has been a challenge - i think she may have a gambling addiction - we have had a couple of nights where it has been 2am and she is begging for another dollar to put into a machine!!!

the other hotels on the strip are amazing too. the bellagio (see picture above) has a fountain display every 15 minutes which will blow you away - we have videod it and will post that too. the venetian also brought back nice memories.

we will come back and post more soon but verity has wandered off with my wallet and it is happy hour in d*** bar !!

we are using our free tickets to see the tournament of the kings show at our hotel - will tell you about that next time.
