Day 24 15/08/11

Headed South today  Ron & Carol travelled with us this morning, their turn off from us today would be Katherine………. They are heading West to visit the Kimberley areas! Tatts lotto Office hasn’t called so sadly we can’t continue with them and will have to think about returning to reality! We all stopped in Pine Creek for Lunch found some nice green grass and shade – which I have come to realise is always a Bonus!! We were stopped outside the Railway Museum which I’m sure Billy would of loved, but sadly it was closed due to lack of Volunteers & Customers. Not sure about the customers bit because I counted about 12 plus cars pulling up while we had stopped and everyone checked out the bits that we could see! Lack of Volunteers that’s understandable! With our belly’s full we pushed on – Katherine was probably about an hour down the road. We did a fuel and cash fill up and met together at the Tourist Information Centre and bid our farewells. …………… Thank you again Ron & Carol we have had a fantastic time and we hope you enjoy the rest of your adventure! Will keep a close eye on the Blog entries! Toby, Billy and myself headed for Mataranka ……….. we decided to try our luck at a Private owned Property near Bitter Springs, called Mataranka Cabins & Camping. We had success and set up camp for the night, enjoyed a short walk down to the Hot Springs for a quick swim before dinner. After Billy was settled in bed, plan our route for tomorrow!
