Happy New Year!!! Well we thought we would spend New Years somewhere rather different this year and ventured off to wonderful Venice. We got here on 30 Dec 2005 and stayed till 2 Jan 2006. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the best, very chilly and wet for a couple of days but we made the most of it. I highly recommend a very romantic gondola ride!! We celebrated the New Year in San Marco's square with lots of people and fireworks but the best was yet to come, the next day on 1st January 2006 after dinner, Chris my wonderful boyfriend decided it was time for a walk around town and we ended up in the middle of San Marco square and he got down on one knee (in the rain) and popped the big question....... and of course, i said YES!! So now we are ENGAGED and what a place to get proposed to i tell ya - oh so lovely, I'm over the moon. The next day we were like little love birds and went on a special gondola ride. But now I'm going to be a Mrs Lemmon!!! :o) xoxoxo
