Nicolas, our handyman, had told me that the French police are clamping down on speedsters, & that we have our very own radar here in tiny Laurens. However, Les got stopped somewhere else Saturday morning, when we were on our way to the art museum in Montpellier. He said it was the perfect set-up! He had just passed a car, & was coming down the hill, & a guy in a light blue shirt & navy pants stepped out of the bushes & flagged us down. We almost didn't stop. It looked like an ambush. Luckily, we did finally stop.
