I sat there like that for at least half an hour, watching people come & go. Then the interne (Clementine) came in, took a look, & said "ce n'est pas du tout joli!" I couldn't believe it! She gave me a shot to numb the finger, cleaned it really well, & then decided it was most likely "superficiel", but she'd need to call in a surgeon to make sure my nerves & my veins were not cut. That took another 25 minutes, but the result was good. So he left her to stitch me up. 5 "points". This part took about an hour, I think. NOTHING hurt at all! So bizarre! When she was done, she wrapped it up, printed out instructions, explained what she'd printed out, & sent me off. I didn't need to check out. We just walked out. The whole thing took about 5 hours. I had to keep my finger straight for 48 hours (it was bandaged like that), then change the bandage using specific items. Then I had to make an appointment to get the stitches out in 8 days. That was last Friday. Dr. Sylvie Rassier took them out in about 5 minutes, right here in Laurens. It's healing well.
