At age 32, Leon had survived 4 years of war, lost a brother, a brother-in-law, & numerous friends. He picked up his life in Bar-le-Duc, & went back to work at the Foundery. Isabelle went back to taking in sewing at home. They had 2 more children, & many grandchildren.
