Today we slept in a bit. I took my time getting ready and then went down to breakfast, today we planned on going to the colosseum, my dad was buying tickets online so we didn't have to wait in line all day. After breakfast we went to the hotels pool expecting it to feel great since it was so hot outside. Somehow though the pool was a almost too cold. But of course we still swam for a bit anyway. After our refreshing swim we went back into our rooms to get ready to head out for the colosseum. We repeated our trip from the previous day walking down the hill from the hotel towards the subway station, where we were going of course. Again, we stopped for ice cream and ate our delicious frozen treats to cool us off a bit before continuing our walk to the station. We arrived at the station again and boarded our train that we would take to the colosseum. While on the train I was messing around with settings on my phone. I then was thinking, "Hey I only remember the shape of my password... what is my password?" So of course I locked my phone to find out my password. I tried several time but couldn't remember my password, I hadn't even changed it recently. Anyways, after getting off the train we walked up the normal steps out of the subway station and exited the station. As soon as we left the station the colosseum was in view. I was surprised because it is definitely different being there in person then seeing it in movies. We walked around for a while trying to find the right line and constantly being approached by people trying to "give us cold water ice cold." After we found the right line we basically were able to walk past the entire line and get into the colosseum. We went inside and I was blown away, the inside was a lot more different then I ever pictured. I had pictured just bleacher areas and a sand area, which was essentially what it was but the sand area was removed to see the underground area which was very cool. As we were leaving the colosseum I was terrified as like seven people sprinted at us, at first I had no clue why, but then I saw them all holding water bottles, (they wanted us to buy water.), so just to mock them I pulled out my water bottle and started gulping it down and offering it to my family who were being swarmed by them as well. We then went to the nearby Roman Forum where we had an audio guide from Rick Steves, the tourist king. We wandered through that for a while looking at all the ancient ruins that were still standing and being preserved. Afterwards we ate dinner at a cool place and then like usual went back to our hotel got ready for bed and then of course went to sleep.
