Hello all! Internet connections on Koh Tao have been dodgy to say the least so I just didn't bother! But here I am doing a belated postcard to keep you all updated. I think the last time I did a postcard was when we were getting ready to leave Chalok Lam. Not much happened in that last week, apart from eating dinner in all our favourite restaurants and playing stupid games with the kids! The last day at school turned into a bit of a waterfight - all the kids were in and out of the pond and it was complete mayhem but soooo much fun! Then, as we walked out of school for the last time we got dragged into a Thai wedding and ended up being plied with whisky and coke! Not a problem I hear you cry - but it was 10.30am - early even by travellers' standards! We had such fun - the whole village seemed to be there and all the guys wanted to marry us - bleugh! I was sad to leave Chalok Lam but it felt right to be moving on - 3 months in one place seems to be a bit too long out here. Anyway, we arrived on Koh Tao on Monday afternoon and got settled into our rooms. We were all knackered and the others were glad to learn that their PADI didn't start until Tuesday afternoon so, after a day of lazing by the beautiful pool, we went out and got trashed! Everything was far more expensive than we were used to, buckets were 3 times the price of the ones in Haad Rin - shocking! I think I was the only person on the whole of Koh Tao that wasn't diving - GRRRR! I went out on the boat with the others and did some snorkelling - but it just wasn't the same, and the others were either in lessons or under the sea so I spent a lot of time on my own, mainly deliberating what I could throw away to make my bag a little lighter! Had a couple of really good nights out (when I could drink and the others couldn't because they had to be up and sober at 6.30am - hee hee!) but other than that there's not much to report! We left Koh Tao on Saturday night - and the adventure began....!
