Hello everyone! As I type this, I realise that today is actually the day I should have been flying home - but thanks to the wonders of date-change tickets, I'm not! I'm actually in Vangvieng, having chilled out for a few days and drank copius amounts of Beer Lao! They have this thing here where you hire an inner tube of a tractor and float down the river in it! You stop off every so often to refill your bottles and jump off zip wires and bridges and other crazy stuff - so much fun! My arms are killing me now, from paddling my tube (it's dry season so there wasn't much water in the river!) I think we might me moving on tomorrow, to Vientiane, where we need to sort out our visas for Cambodia, before heading down to the 4000 Islands in the south of Laos. We've been staying in the wonkiest hut in the world - the only time it feels straight is when we've had a few drinks! It is gorgeous though, right on the river. It's great for chilling out and reading in the hammocks - aaaaaahh! Right, off in search of some lunch now - do you think it's possible to overdose on baguettes?!?! Love to you all - Vicky xxxx
