Well our bus ride from Puno to Cuzco was a very scary one, the driver was all over the place, im just glad to have made it here in one piece! There was a storm going on but that didnt make him slow down. We arrived into Cuzco bus terminal at around 2.30am but we were allowed to stay on the bus and sleep until 5.30am. Jenny started to get a jippy tummy but the loos were locked so she had to hang on. We got off the bus around 5.45am and went into the terminal to see if we could find Angel our Cuzco guide but he was nowhere to be seen. So we got a taxi to our hostel for 5 soles (80p) We got to our room and straight into bed. We were called by reception that Angel would arrive at our hostel at 8.30am and we were to go down and pay him for our Macchu Piccu tour tomorrow. 504 soles each (80pounds) So we fell back asleep til that time but when we awoke we both were very poorly. Very unstable stomach and severe headache, but i wont make u feel ill with the details! So we stayed in bed all day trying to keep warm and drinking pints of water. I dunno whether its all to do with the altitude. So early night tonight and hope we`re better for a long day tomorrow!

23rd September

Well after almost 12hours sleep we got up at 6am. Angel picked us up at 6.30am. After not having had anything to eat all yesterday and feeling quite a bit better this morning Jenny had a pìece of bread and i had 3 bites. my stomach still felt a bit off but my headache had pretty much gone. Got to the train station and boarded the train at 7am. it was quite slow and took just under 4 hours to get to aguas calientes then we had to get on a bus for 30mins which took us up to the top of Macchu Piccu. it was boiling hot and i wasnt feeling 100% so we decided to meander about the ruins by ourselves at our own pace instead of with a guide for 2 hours. To be honest i didnt find it all that breathtaking, but maybe its cos i felt like crap. Got the train back around 5pm which arrived back in cuzco around 9.30pm. Angel was waiting to pick us up at the station and got us a taxi back to our hostel. Hope my stomach´s stronger tomorrow as i want a nice meal for our last day of travelling!!
