Left this morning for Zakopane, a ski resort town in Poland close to the Slovakian border. Arrived midday as it wasnt far from Krakow and went for a walk through the main town square. Zakopane is such a cute little town and surrounded by the ski mountains. South of Zakopane are the Tatra Mountains. Sorry guys, haven't had a chance to update my blog, but here goes, slowly catching up... hopefully haven't forgotten anything. Woke up for an early morning guided tour of Krakow. Walked through the main square, the park (forgot the name), Jewish Quarter (where part of Schindlers List was filmed) and through the university etc. There was a park with metal statues of what looks like angels on one side, but from the other side it looks a little phallic. Left early this morning for Krakow via Auschwitz, the breakfast was amazing leaving Olomouc though! Everyone was knicking a piece of fruit here, a donut there and taking it for lunch haha. Arrived at Auschwitz just before noon where we had lunch first. (theres not much appetite for food after). We went to Auschwtiz 1, (there is 1, 2 and 3) which has now become a museum/memorial.
