Helloooo

Well as you can see i have finally reached the southern tip of the north island! im in Wellington for a few days to do some sightseeing and stuff before i head down to the south island and to some work......i need to, im in need of some more cash! Slight dampener on being here is the weather. Its pretty windy and rather chilly at the moment and we even had a few days of rain! which were spent in the cinema watching chick flicks (namely 27 dresses and foolsgold) but i did manage a little bit of sightseeing in going up the botanical gardens in the cable car, going to the museums and stuff and walking along the bay to get some views of the headlands on the only day that the sun shined!

The only problem was my toe. i went out a few nights ago and someone smashed a glass cutting my big toe - its ok, but its bandaged and i cant put shoes on! so when it rains i have to walk around in flip flops which isnt good :o( hence the cinema being my only viable option for something to do :o) But when i managed to get out in the sun i took full advantage of it. The botanical gardens are huge and for like 2 dollars u can get the 10 minutes cable car up to the top and then walk all the way back down - its such a good thing to do and even though its really really REALLY windy at the top it was worth it. The museums in Wellington are something of an institution. Te Papa is New Zealands premier museum and has some amazing exhibitions and hands on activities. Even though i went to the one in Auckland - this was just as good if not better.

i love wellington - even though its wet and windy its got a great cafe vibe and is somewhere i would def come back to and work - maybe on my way back up in a few months or so. I booked the ferry to head over to the South Island and hopefully pick up some work along the West Coast in a hostel or something before hitting queenstown for the Ski Season!!!!!

anyways hope ur all ok and looking forward to the british summer! im not looking forward to the New Zealand Winter let me tell you, after experiencing a few days of it in Wellington i want to go to Fiji!! early birthday present anyone :o) miss u all!
