We arrived in Agnes Waters at about 5pm, and it's actually beautiful! The sun was out all afternoon and was starting to set, we went down to the beach were there were lots of people surfing, and had a little walk, it was so pretty, it finally felt like we were actually in real Australia, with proper Australian weather for the first time! We had had a VERY long bus journey from Airlie Beach, we left at 8am! We played a game with the whole bus and the driver though which was fun, and Emms and I were trying to grab a photo of a kangaroo sign, to no avail :( our hostel was really nice and we were sharing with some people who were travelling for 14 months! We loved Agnes Water and really wanted to stay another night and do Scooteroo, but we were unable to change our Fraser Island tour which was a shame becuase it was a really beautiful place, it was small, sunny and really chilled. Would deffo love to go back there! We were also told to look our for kangaroos as they were all coming out for the evening as we were arriving, however I didn't see any.
Australia also has lots of 'big' things, so far we have seen the Big Gumboot, Crab, Mango, Snake, Frog, Bull and Spider! There are also some very annoying birds, and I think maybe the Kookaburra, and they all screech at the same time and the noise is so loud and annoying! It's also a lot greener than i thought, but its so different to England forest all the trees are different. A lot of the towns along this part of the coast are Sugar Cane towns with sugar mills, the sugar cane was already taller than us but still apparently at half its height! I wouldn't like to live around there though as it attracts a lot of rats which in turn attracts lots of snakes.. Vile!
