Last day in NZ! :( We arrived into Auckland yesterday afternoon, and wondered around Victoria Park Markets to look for souvenirs, we were catching the bus to arrive in St. Helier's at 3 to meet Dad's friend Maurice, who was kindly letting us stay for 2 nights! We arrived there and Maurice took us back to their house, and we had a lovely cooked dinner of lamb and veggies! We then watched the Royal wedding as they had it recorded and Arthur and I hadn't seen it yet!

Today we were going to climb a volcano island, but it was grey and drizzly, so we went to the zoo instead, adn had a fun afternoon there. I got lots of good shots of the animals (probably too many, but I love taking their photos!). It was pretty cool as we got to see a Kiwi bird, Finally! It had been one of our aims for our NZ trip to see a wild one, but sadly we didn't, but at least we saw one in the zoo! We also saw the Tigers playing with each other which was so cute, they had a toy and were playing like domesticated animals! We then saw all the standard zoo animals, elephants, rhinos, zebras, giraffes etc, and lots of pretty birds! We then treated ourselves to a pizza for lunch as it was our last day here, and then wondered around the town for a couple of hours, and stocked up on some toiletries, and we are now back at the house. So need to pack my bag and get everything ready for tomorrow! Looking forward, if slightly nervous, for Thailand, and an end to my 7 month winter!! Hopefully we will see some sun and pick up a bit of a tan :) Going to be sad leaving NZ, as it is such a beautiful country, and 3 and a half weeks really hasn't been enough, but I know I shall be back one day!
