So....onwards to the South Island. We had to catch a ferry to get from Wellington to Picton... we were so excited about going that we were the first in the queue for the ferry! We even beat all the lorry drivers! The crossing was beautiful. It took us 3 hours and the scenery was absolutely stunning....all mountains and small bays with the most amazing turquoise water.
