Diocletian palace - underground. If you're going to build a palace in roman times best to make it resistant to everything so it can become a tourist center later on. Particularly enjoyed the basement halls with roman ruins everywhere. Poe likes to look imposing so this is his favorite shot so far.

Split is extremely large - we first learned this when we tried to walk from our hotel which was technically in Podstrana to Split. While the hotel was an awesome resort hotel, we ended up walking for over an hour on the outskirts of town. We were rescued by a 16 yr old girl who called a cab for us and gave us beer!
