So for the next 8 days we're staying in Anaheim, Los Angeles. The first day we didn't do much, just rested and recharged. The next day we went to Disneyland for the first time. There are 2 parks, California Adventure Park and Disneyland, you need to have a park hopper pass to enable you to go and see both parks. We had a city pass which had both parks for 3 days, plus Universal Studios and San Diego Sea World. This was definately a good way to go and see everything. So the first point of call was Cars Land, as our oldest Joshua has been a lightning mcqueen fan since he was 2, so to be able to go to Cars Land was a dream come true for him. The cars land was so well done and the attention to detail was amazing, it was truly like being on the set of the movie. They had about 4 rides in that section of the park, the longest line was for the speedy racers which was a fun ride that we all liked. The other rides were good for all ages really so we went on a few of them too. It's really impossible to do everything I think, so we just tried to do at least 1-2 rides/attractions per section of the park. We then strolled through Bugs Land which was also really clever how they adapt parts of the movie and make it into a ride. After lunch we went and saw the Muppets 3D movie which was very entertaining for everyone and a nice cool spot to relax after walking around the park. The other side of the park we checked out at night was Russel's wilderness explorer (the little kid from UP) and the kids had a ball going on a flying fox and going through rope nets and things like that. We then went to the Paradise Pier section where they have the World of Colour aswell as the ferris wheel and it was incredible to see everything at night time. The ferris wheel was so scary, we went on a swinging carriage which was pretty scary being flung around in a cage from a great height, was more scary as I was worried about the 3 kids on the ride, but thankfully they were ok, just me wanting to get off! We then did some shopping and then headed off to the Disneyland park to watch the firework show which was pretty amazing, we weren't in the best spot for viewing as we arrived a bit late, i'd have liked to have got there earlier and a bit closer to see it, but you get the gist of it and it really is nothing like you've ever seen before, it's about 40 mins worth of fireworks and music and magic :D An incredible first day was had by us all.
