Hello, this ones just a quickie i'm afraid coz i want to try and get some photos on here too (sorry in advance if i run out of time but check back soon) Well after a ferry crossing over to the south island from Wellington we got picked up on the stray bus (backpacker bus) and went over to Abel Tasman National Park-lots of nice walks and luckily we've had beautiful sunshine too. It's still cold but in a refreshing way, been breathing in lots of fresh air. They also had a really good sculpture garden, all the figures had a place in maori history. Barry town, well, you could hardly call it a town because its tiny and no-one lives there but we stop over to have a day making knives. Real knives that you can use and everything. I was the only one that wanted to do it but i thought it was great fun-i made it all from scratch all by myself. Franz Joseph-big glacier that i hiked up (i politely refused to do the ice climbing option after last time!!!). It was good though, we walked through ice walls and over bridges and along tiny paths with BIG drops over the edge. I'm now in Queenstown. Today i went up to the top of a mountain on a gondola and went luge riding (go kart things that go really fast downhill-such fun).
