Just arrived to my first layover destination in Chicago. I had a quick flight from Toronto that went by in no time. I was on a really small plane and sat beside a Japanese girl who was also going to Tokyo. She was in Toronto seeing a Madonna concert because it was the only place she could find tickets to see her so she traveled all the way from Japan! I thought I was a pretty dedicated music fan but not sure I'd ever fork out the money for such a long trip to see a concert but then again I guess we are lucky for living in North America as we don't need to travel far to see our favourite bands. I asked her if it was worth it and she said absolutely plus she got to tour around Toronto and couldn't believe how many tall buildings there were since she last visited many years ago. I am now waiting to board my plane to Tokyo where I will have about a 3 hour layover. Not excited for this super long flight but I'm just hoping there will be some good movies to watch to help pass the time.
I just want to note that I haven't been able to connect to wifi at either Pearson or here at O'hare so this blog post will be uploaded once I can connect so that explains the delay. I'm just hoping that there is nothing wrong with my phone and I will be able to connect to wifi once I get to Thailand.
