Tickets have been bought, my new backpack has been delivered, Anu's got her travel cot... And the days are flying by! Just over two months to go.
First stop - Chicago. I can't wait to visit Gerry and clan, while Daniel is excited about visiting the US. And I have assured him, it's the best city to visit!
It will be interesting to see how much I remember, as it's been 12 years since I left.
From there, we head to Belize for beach and Mayan ruins... Be prepared for lots and lots of photos of stones!! And the beautiful blue waters of the Caribbean.
On to Guatemala, more ruins, a bit of jungle and then Lake Atitlan for a month. Spanish school for me for two or three weeks, lots of relaxing, swimming and if Dan gets his way, barbecuing!
Then to the Pacific coast for surf school, before heading on to El Salvador. There we plan to do a bit of travelling around to see mountains, lakes, volcanoes, but above all, on our agenda is food... The country is said to have fantastic food! We'll happily try lots and let you know!!!
