Finally left Cadiz at 1.00pm very blowy and hard to walk around. It stayed like this all night- everything fell out of cabin cupboards and slopped Round the floor. Not many people at the Halloween dinner and soup bowls half full. Didn't sleep much and although the wind dropped we had a huge swell coming into the port here - we reckon about 4 metres. Some damage on board and breakfast was a disaster even though we were in harbour. Whole buffet tables overturned and slid around and vast amounts of china got broken. . The short order chef carried on cooking omelettes regardlessly.
We have just walked to the Hasan 2 mosque. It can cope with 250000 people praying at once and has the tallest minaret in the world. At night it shines a laser beam that can be seen for miles out at sea. Leave at 3 for Safi which we hear is a dump but the nearest sea to Marrakesh
