So we've officially been in Ireland for a little over two weeks now! Among the many things I've learned since we've arrived, I've learned that when people told me I would have an excess of time on my hands they weren't lying. So far I only have three classes a week. I have Music on Mondays, history on Tuesdays, and QU301 on Thursdays. And on top of only having three classes a week, all my classes start at 5 and only go to 7. So at the moment, every morning and all my Wednesdays and Fridays are pretty free. With all this spare time, between my travels, I decided I might as well blog my adventures.
Going all the way back to the very beginning, Sarah, Kaitlyn, and I started our adventure at Logan Airport in Boston at around 8 in the morning. We flew from Logan to JFK, where we arrived around 11. We then proceeded to wait three hours for the baggage drop off to open for Air Lingus. While sitting in the airport outside of security with very little to do, one by one we saw Quinnipiac students trail in getting ready to take on our Irish adventure. When it was finally about time to check our bags, we were starving. So, once we got through security we got some food and then proceeded to do some more waiting. However, with all the excitement, friends, and Netflix to keep us busy this wait didn't seem so bad.
Once we boarded the plane and got settled, I was asleep probably before the plane even took off. The long day of airports and lugging my stuff around had tired me out so much. When I woke up, we were already halfway there and the food was coming. Once again, as exhausted as I was, I fell asleep pretty quickly. Next time I woke up there was only about an hour left in the flight. Only one more hour stood between me and my Irish adventure!
