Well, we have one week to go and every one is making plans for how to finish and leave behind something sustainable. Variously the projects include stroke education for nurses, an OHS plan, and information on exercise, nutrition, feeding babies with cerebral palsy and how to run a playgroup.

The host families are by and large lovely caring people who are completely bemused by how little we all eat (more than at home), how late we come home (6.00pm) and our strange "oberoni" ways.

Some of the things they say that initially confused us included "you are invited" meaning dinner is on the table, "you are welcome" meaning hello and "will you take lunch" meaning will you eat lunch (at home) not will you take it with you.

This part of Ghana is very Christian and this weekend we will all probably accompany our host families to church. If we are really lucky (like Donna) we will get to go to a wedding or a funeral both of which are 3 day affairs.

Of course our host mothers are convinced we have nothing appropriate to wear to church and so some of us have had to visit the dressmaker to have something more appropriate made. Watch out for these new outfits when we get home!!
