Glenwood Springs Train trip through the famous American Rockies. The sights are just amazing and even some snow still left around from last winter, with the new winter just months away. All those incredible pictures and stories that we see on the National Geographic documentary's are so much better in real life. The changing landscapes are incredible to see. From one place to the next the landscape varies with different types of mountains.You see so much of this stuff in the movies, but when you see it first hand it still is quite awesome.

Finally reached Denver and seems we made up a little bit of time but still about an hour behind. Hopefully we'll make up some more time through the night and get to Chicago with enough time to collect the rental car.

We basically followed the mighty Colorado River all the way back to its origins up in the peaks of the Rockies. The train track generally followed the river most of the way due to the elevations required for safe train travel. After seeing the river that gouged out the Grand Canyon suddenly being a raging torrent through the Rockies but on a much smaller scale, you realise the enormity of mother nature, and the wonders of creation.
