Evn'n, how we all doing? Wine tour yesterday by bike. Now, I fully realise that wine tasting should traditionally involve a certain degree of decorum, one thoughtfully cogitating on the merits of each wine before politely spitting it into some sort of spitoon thingy and muttering about legs and nose and "oo oo I'm getting apricots, I'm getting cotton, I'm getting Castrol GTX." Nah, not Abi and me. Visit as many vineyards as you can, ride back to base without getting hit by passing motorists and drink another 2 bottles before acquiring unconsciousness. Now THAT'S wine tasting. Woke this morning to yet another beautiful day, and zipped across the Cook Straits into the North Island. We're now in Wellington, and what we've seen so far couldn't be more different to the untouched South. Busy busy, but with a real alternative scene. Great city, loads of tattoo and piercing parlours and funky clothes shops in which we can both alleviate the weight of our walletts. Loads more photos on the site - haven't really edited them so some are great and others are rubbish. Particularly like the whale watching shots, those animals are just awesome. Plan is to drive up to Mount Ruapehu tomorrow, and get some riding in on the active volcano. We'll be reprezentn so Jamie and Morgs, look out for the shots dudes.
