Arrived at Bratislava hl.st train station at noon from Budapest and walked 800m to our hotel, Crowne Plaza Bratislava.Walked down Obchodna and got some lunch before walking down to the Tourist Information Centre for a city map and to check out some day trips from Bratislava. Got up at 7am and, after breakfast, walked to Deak Ter and caught the metro to Batthany Station. Arrived in Visegrad by bus from Szentendre and walked through the town centre before beginning the walk along the path to the Citadel. Stopped at a small church on the side of the cliff with great views over the Danube Bend. Walked back down the path to the bus stop and caught the bus on to Esztergom.

Arrived by bus from Visegrad and walked from the bus station towards the centre town, stopping for lunch before walking up to the Esztergom Basilica. Basilica was huge and looked out of place in a town that was a little run down. There were good views over the town, across the Danube to Slovakia and over the Watertown area below the Basilica. Arrived back in Budapest from Esztergom at 5.30pm and went back to the hotel before going to dinner at the nearby John Bull Pub. After dinner we went for a walk along the banks of the Danube to see the Castle, Chain Bridge, Fisherman's Bastion and Houses of Parliament at night. Returned to the hotel to pack for our train trip to Bratislava then next morning.
