After a long haul, we made it across New York State. It was a rough travel day; it took us 11 hours to get from upstate New York to Lake Erie. Noah was a trooper, though we had to stop numerous times because he was so over being strapped into his car-seat. We drove into Lakeside Campground and set up our tent just in time for the thunderstorm on Lake Erie. Noah was asleep when we arrived, so Ty carried him into the makeshift bed made of his changing pad that lay inside our tent. It seems to cuddle him perfectly since the edges naturally curve upward, though he looks a bit like a mummy! It is midnight here, and the sky is lighting up along the horizon of Lake Erie. We can hear the rumbles of thunder in the distance, and the drip-drop of rain as we lay cozy as a family inside our small tent.

AnnMarie This is so sweet!
Kristina Oh the crossed arms really do make him look like a pharaoh. It seems like you guys planned a slow, reasonable trip across the continent; keep up the blog you'll be so happy you have it in a few years!
