Travelled to Cobh today where the Titanic stopped to pick up passengers - really good exhibition. Then went on to Kinsale which is a bustling town with houses and shop fronts in lovely bright colours. Off tonight for our final night out in an Irish pub!

Started the day with a party breakfast for Susan who celebrated her hmm hmm birthday. Spent most of the day travelling from Connemara to Waterford. Most of the scenery early on was best. Waterford disapppointing . . we even found out that the crystal is made in Czechoslovakia now! Went out to celebrate Susans birthday which was nice.

After being rudely awakened at the crack of dawn by the fire alarm being set off (and losing an hours sleep - 'cos the clocks went on one hour), we started the day with a chocolate egg! Planned to take a ferry to Inishbofin Isle but the rain came down so we abandoned that idea. Walked some more in National Park battling gale force winds! Not been to a pub (yet) today - must be slipping. PS: Went into The Bards Den in evening (of course)!

Travelled through the Mahnturk mountains - the most breathtaking scenery on our way to Letterfrack, Connemara. Climbed the Diamond Mountain in the national park (almost as high as everest) - fantastic views. Had to be roped down! Ended up in local bar - (again)!

Did I ever tell you about the day I met the president ... We were walking through Galway ... blah blah blah. Today we almost got blown off the cliffs of moher! Beautiful as they are it was very windy and it was a long drop down. We cruised The Burren with its distinctive scenery and after passing through some picturesque villages we arrived in Galway. Did I mention meeting the president? The Sun is still following us!
