Being the Jurassic coast, you see many fossils. This one is about 400m years old. At this site, we engaged with a group of people in a philosophical discussion about the relative speck of time which man has been around compared to the dinosaurs, the ammonites, the trilobites and the rest. We agreed that man's record of Earth's stewardship had been very poor and the chances of man surviving even a small proportion of say, the dinosaur's 400 million years on earth, were very slim.
