This display decorated one of the walls and I asked Sid what it was. "Its from the Qu'ran" said Sid, without offering further explanation. The white writing on a black background seemed familiar. Having already had a free cup of slightly odd tasting sweet tea and conscious that the handful of customers and staff were beginning to wonder who the hell I was, I thought, maybe I should go. I also wondered about protocols, of which I knew none. Momentarily, I thought about the old bank staff, Roy, Diane, Malcolm, Ian etc and the impossibility of any of them predicting my return, here, now, at this moment. So I smiled and left thinking about the Somalians which Sid had mentioned, and how I didn't really want to meet them after all.
