Very late, but exceptionally nice. I managed to order in French, but quickly realised the waiting staff were actually speaking something more guttural; is it Flemish, or Dutch (we were on the Franco-Belgian border) or are those languages the same thing? What I have noticed is that simple dishes, like omelettes, are invariably well prepared when patronising slightly lower end eateries on the continent. By the way, Rob loved his scran too, it filled a gap that was characterised by that hollow guilt ridden nausea which frequently follows a night when one has sunk a good part of a case of vino collapso (as Rob, the poor soul, had evidently done).
