A few days ago I cut my finger as I tried to dispose of some broken glass. I'm pretty sure I should have had stitches but in all honesty I just couldn't bare the idea of going to A&E, sitting around for hours and hours to have a three minute procedure, so I patched it up tightly with sticking plaster. Each time I changed the dressing, the wound would ooze open again. This time it stayed knitted together, so I snapped it for the record.
