Now, interestingly, so far, both Labour (Andy Croy) and the Lib Dems (Clive Jones) have written letters to our household to tell us why we should vote for them (this is Clive's by way of example). Their fliers are very nice and if Andy and Clive ever read this, I’d like to say to them “Thanks, you sound alright, you do, and I’d like to vote for both of you”. In truth, and as I’ve said, based on the record, neither have got a chance and this is where I am starting to feel that our election system cannot properly represent the electorate. I admit, I always thought proportional representation was a bit wishy-washy, namby-pamby, but now I’ve officially become one of the great disillusioned, I’m feeling a bit disenfranchised because I know if I vote either Labour or Lib Dem, it will count for jack s**t. I particularly note that John Redwood, the Conservative candidate, has not yet sent me a “vote for me” flier as such, as have the other two have. However, importantly, he has sent through something else – see next slide.
