Mostly a day of shopping in Venice. On the morning we went out to look for breakfast and got lost. It took us about an hour to get back to the apartment. In the afternoon we walked to the Grand Canal and went on a gondola ride.

We got up early today and went to the Ufizio which is a huge museum of paintings and sculpture mostly from the 15th century but with some older and younger. Some of the paintings have been in the museum since the early 1800's. Then we went to the Acadamia to see David. There is a lot of art and sculpture there as well but we did not stay long. Today is Easter Sunday and we went to the Duomo where they have a big parade and ceremony. It finishes off with a huge firework and cracker display. We got there at about the right time because there is huge crowd but had to wait for some time for the fireworks. After that we walked through Florence and back along the river. We had a quiet late afternoon and then a very good dinner at a local restaurant.

Drove from Vinci into Florence which only took about two hours. We have an apartment right next to Ponte Vecchio, which is the famous old bridge with shops on it in Florence. We had lunch then spent the afternoon shopping in the leather markets. At dinner we found a good but crowded restaurant. Liam made the best choice with roast baby pig

We spent our last day at the villa. We borrowed some bikes that are kept here and Jack, Liam, Peter and I rode a long circuit up to the top of the hill where the Villa is, which was all dirt road. It then connected back to some bitumen roads we were able to coast back down to get back to the villa
