After heading South for Christmas, our journey took us back the way we came to head on to Myanmar. Hello All, Merry Christmas! Hope you are all having a beautiful day. We are on an island in Thailand. Chris has enjoyed his first swim in the sea, his main comment being "It's so salty!". We enjoyed seeing fish and the warmth of the water. We have also managed to see the new Star Wars movie (no spoilers here though). We left Bangkok by night bus for the Khao Sok National park, looking forward to escaping to the countryside again. The scenery here is breath-taking and bears a similarity to Yangshuo. The rockfaces are more sheer and an artificial lake makes the whole place feel like Neverland. We really enjoyed exploring the rainforests here. Bangkok is an international hub with a big focus on the commercial. Street food is on sale on every corner and although this can produce a lot of rubbish, it was fascinating to see the binmen sorting through it for recycling on the street.
