Yo George,
If you need to spend the night outside, here's something I learned in the Boy Scouts... Create a 'bear-bag' put your toiletries, food, soap, deoderant, etc in it and store it up in a tree or somewhere far away from your body.
Now -- what's the purpose of your trip? I hope it'll fuel some songwriting...
peace to you my brother,

George, i read your blog. I can't believe that the roads are that dangerous up there. I saw the picture you posted of Toad River, so pretty. i am sure that the scenes are breath taking. It is hard to capture them on film or even video, but at least you have your memories to go back to. That is great. i know that it must be hard at times, but keep pushing forward, you can do it!!! Think of what you are going to accomplish. Keep Riding!!!

Hey Skip, Glad you finally got some nice weather. It's been thunder storming here left and right . . . trackday+rain=SUCK! (almost as much as gravel on the road) and YES!! What is up with people? It always starts with "Thats a nice bike, is it fast?" . . . next thing you know, you're hearing about cousin Jimmy's wife's Uncle Bob who got run over by a semI. WTF. Anyway, can't wait to see Alaska pics, you rock.
