Wills and James Road Trip
Day Seventy-six 29.5.05
RAINED! RAINED! RAINED!
And
RAINED!
The open air washing facilities don't seem quite so romantic today and we are obviously nearer England.
Day Seventy-seven 30.5.05
We packed up for the last time this morning to travel the short distance to Le Harve. The plan was to stay in the port overnight to get the ferry in the morning at 9.30am. We arrived in Le Harve about mid day and went to Auchan to buy booze and cheese. We have done this a number of times and you would think that by now we would know where the hypermarket was. We drove around for ages and then saw the signs for the out of town one.
We decided after the supermarket to check things out at the port. We asked the lady about the possibility of staying and also if there were any earlier sailings. As it happens the next ferry was full but the overnight sailing had room. We amended our tickets and then parked up in the motor home section. We are glad that we are not having to stay the night here as its not a secure as Portsmouth and the local gangs appear to use the place to show off their moped skills.
When the time came we pulled up to check in. We were right at the front and there were two classic cars parked in the next lane. As more people arrived the came to look at the cars, it was unbelievable how long they spent looking and some spent ages photographing them from every angle, I was just about to say to William 'haven't these people got anything better to do?' and as I turned I realised he was out there too with the nerds. Actually in fairness William had taken his shots before the masses arrived.
There are now five coaches in the queue filled with kids of various nationalities, should be a noisy crossing.
This will be the last blogg for a while as we are back in the UK for a month or so, we will let you know when we are off again. Thanks for sharing our trip with us and we hope you enjoyed it.
Love William & James
