For some reason we were put on the 6.50pm train with Lisa and Geoff getting us back to Cuzco at 10.30pm (our only complaint with Llama Path really as they didnt advise this before and both us and Lisa and Geoff had early flights) we arrived back at Ninos Hotel.Back in the hotel, no problems with our room or getting our bags and we laid everything out to dry as best it could. The Inca TrailWell after an early start of 5am we headed to the Plaza de Armas to start our journey with Llama Path.More surprisingly found ourselves to not be the last people to arrive and were clapped onto the bus by the porters. After a rather unexpected direct flight from Arequipa we arrived at Cuzco an hour earlier than expected. Due to the protesting and the attack on the airport at Juliaca which killed 5 people only two days ago they have stopped any flights which divert there.Unfortunately for Phil this meant the nap he was hoping to get was a lot shorter than planned.The airport at Cuzco. . wow. . After a nice tea at Crepissimo's on arrival back to Arequipa I found a lovely Peruvian wine. The Tabernero was possibly the nicest Peruvian wine I have found so far.
