The Melbourne weather continued as we passed through and being `green' did not know that we were on a toll road that one had to pay for prior to use (i e no toll booth). When we arrived back to WA we were greeted by a nasty toll fine. We wrote a `we did not know letter' but they were not sympathetic.

We bush camped on the west side of Melbourne near Geelong and were woken in the night by what we thought were donkeys braying, hideous noise. We were later informed that this was in fact a male koala's mating call!!.

When we continued our journey we called in to the famed (with surfers) Bells Beach and even though the conditions were a bit off, it was still well patronized.
