We put Corryong on our visit list to principally catch up with Avan's brother Syd & spouse Kim, but it is also conveniently situated to the picturesque pass over the Snowy Mountains to Canberra, Australia's Capital.

Syd & Kym run a travelling Australiana show visiting schools and country shows. They were due to put their show on at the `The Man From Snowy River Festival' which encompasses cowboys competing in a variety of events, the winner earning the coveted title. We spent several days at the festival and on occasions assisted backstage with the show.

Note: The show `Sydney or the Bush' is now permanently based in Perth WA.
