We found warmer weather in Montreal only about 3 hours away by bus.  As soon as we arrived we liked the feel of the city and this feeling continued for all our visit. What a delight is Quebec City - seems more French than France! Our 16 hours on different buses took us through Nova Scotia and New Bunswick and the closer we got to the border with Quebec the more the signs became French only. Previously in Canada all road signs were in both languages. We changed buses just before the border and the bus driver was French speaking with only halting English.
