Currently in Noosa and my oh my it's pretty here! Definitely a place i would love to visit again and spend more time. It's beautiful! It reminds me of The Lake District, but with Palm Trees, Beaches and 30'c heat! Noosa Junction, Hastings Street, is full of quaint boutiques and retro bars and cafes. It would be lovely to live here, but I expect it would cost a fortune.
Sunshine and Sunrise beaches offer either a time to relax or time to surf. I chose the relax option, happy to just observe the many surfers "catching the waves"! I would say so many of them make it look like a walk in the park, but once you get into the sea and you realise how big the waves are it's a little scary. I'm still gaining the courage to give it a go. Maybe when I get to Byron I'll have some lessons?!
I'm stopping at Dolphin's beach house which has a real bohemian feel about it. The staff are really helpful and they treat you more like you're their friends. Gary is out doing a Canoe trip on the Everglades which I kindly turned down. It's so strange not being with him as it's around 3 months we've been travelling together so I feel like a bit of me is gone! As cliche as that sounds. I guess its a testiment to our relationship as I've really missed him the past few days so we must be getting along fine and dandy.
Tomorrow we travel on the coach to Brisbane and I have an interview on Monday at a hotel. Fingers crossed I get the job as I am in need of a few more Ozzy dollars.
