Mediterranean Road Trip
A major working port in Southern France, Marseille is the second largest city in France. Down in Vieux Port (The Old Port) Fishermen haul in their small daily catches, while locals and restauranteurs get their ingredients for boulabaisse or a simple fish fricasse.
High on the hillside resides Notre-Dame de la garde, overlooking the whole of Marseille, and it's well worth hiking up for the view alone!
Don't forget to check out the Chateau de 'If on a small island just of the coastline. This is where the famous story 'The Count of Monte Cristo' was based.
