Tues 22nd - Fri 25th April (Week 31)Tues 22nd - Arrived very tired into Yangon at 7:30am to the usual chaos of trying to get your bags and negotiate with taxi drivers. Got to our hotel at 8am, had a lovely breakfast of egg and toast, then luckily could check into our room and slept from 9-12. Fri 18th - Mon 21st April (Week 31)Fri 18th - Met up with Steph and Vivi at 8:30 and headed off for our day trip on the lake. Stopped at a couple of silk and silver workshops but all quite pricey so didn't buy anything. Saw a Burmese Cat sanctuary, so stopped there briefly to see the very rare and expensive cats. Wed 9th - Sun 13th April (Week 29)Wed 9th - Got up at 4:30am, both still feeling very delicate, queasy and achy. A very uncomfy 6hr bus ride back to Mandalay, with no a/c and just a few windows open at the front of the bus - and we of course were right at the bumpy, overheated back ! Wed 2nd - Tues 8th (Week 28-29)Wed 2nd - Got a taxi back to Bangkok airport at 8am and were amazed at how beautiful the interior was - lovely display of orchids, wall carvings, and even a TV screen of a Japanese snow-capped mountain which you could stand in front of and your image would be projected inside the picture !
