We spent the day by the pool, and the kids put on a play for us that they had been practicing since we arrived at the house. We watched the play in the garden, with the house as a backdrop. The windows and balcony became part of their stage. Their costumes included the masks they bought in Venice. They did a great job, we were entertained. Bravo!
Luigi recommended a restaurant called Saraceno located in Conegliano, the city his mom lives in. He described the waitress perfectly, she must always be there. No one spoke english so we muddled our way through , our waitress was very patient. We made sure to order our pizzas "patuta" - Luigi said that means they beat the dough extra long making it nice and thin. The food was delicious!
On the way home we stopped at a gelato shop also recommended by Luigi. We thoroughly enjoyed our dessert.
Back at the house everyone started packing because we were leaving for Switzerland in the morning.
