Ok, so I am attempting to catch up with my blog over the next few days as I have managed to get somewhat behind - 4 weeks behind!!

On 25th October me and Laura left Fort Cochin (Kerala) to head back to Goa, this time to explore the south beaches. After spending the first day relaxing in Calangute (and getting a lovely pedicure on the beach for 2 pounds) we finally got to meet back up with Anoushka and Maria that evening (who we started our trip with but hadn't seen for almost 3 weeks!)

Next day me and Laura set we set off on the bus to Palolem, Goa's most southerly beach. Unfortunately along the way our bus driver knowcked over an old lady, who must have had the Gods on her side because she landed in a bush, saving her from what I fear may have been death!! Obviously the bus driver just shrugged as the lady and all her family started shouting and waving their hands - This is India!!

We arrived at Palolem Beach to amazing weather so did the obvious and passed out on the beach for the afternon. That evening we bumped into Micheal, a guy from Manchester who we had originally met at the ferry port in Kerala - See, small world!!

I had a truly amazing time in south Goa, mostly down to the fantastic company I shared for the next 8 days. Again we hired mopeds and a group of us travelled to a "secret beach" where, believe it or not, we were the only people there for the entire day. The evenings were spent drinking, partying and being generally silly. On a serious note, an Indian guy did drown on the beach whilst we were there; a heart attack apparently frm which the life-guards were unable to save him - Possibly because they are not very good swimmers!!

We hung around an extra day to go to a sunset boat party which never happened, seemingly we had been lied to again!!

Once again the sad goodbyes had to be said - I was especially sad to say goodbye to Micheal who was a strong competitor for Alessandro (Mr Bean) on my "Favourite Traveller" list (not that I have one but if I did!)

And that was South India - Complete!! To the North we go............
