Well I survived my second overnight bus woohoo, although I didn't begin that well when I had to wait at the bus stop with some German guy who proceeded to go into a drug induced sleep just as the bus arrived. I was a bit worried and felt bad leaving him but the driver seemed to know what he was doing.

Now in Hervey bay, where there is literally nothing to do. Its sweet enough but its only purpose on a tourist front is to act as a base from where you can go over to Fraser Island. It is certainly much less commercial that Airlie Beach, and I could have done without having an extra day to waste here but never mind I had a nice day just mooching about. My hostel is AMAZING though, it is so small and has a lot of character, lots of wooden beams etc. The owners go well out of their way to help you out and it's just so sweet- I highly recommend it.

Am slightly confused at the moment. I had to go down to Beaches Hostel the company who I booked my package with just to find out the arrangements for my trip. When I got there it seems they had no record of my open dated ticket being put through, which is odd because I called them yesterday to check and the woman said my name was on the system….strange. Anyway it was ok they booked me on so all was well. Feeling a bit nervous about going over to the island but hopefully I can just enjoy it and have a good time for Ian.
