The first thing we noticed about Kuala Lumpur when our flight landed was the humidity which didnt help in our frantiic dash to catch the last bus to the city centre....luckily the malaysian staff were laid back as always so we made it!
Kuala lumpur is a huge city, it had the usual little india & china region amongst others. There are plenty of shops, markets, foodstalls ...& cockroaches at night.
On our first day we set off on a misson to get our Thailand visa & after sweating our own body weight & asking numerous people for directions we eventually got there to find it was shut...try again on the Monday.
A day was then taken up on the search for a SouthEast Asia guide (& bought nothing as always looking for a better bargain!) & a rain mac for me in preparation for the rain forest on the next stop....we chose to visit in monsoon season.
Our hostel was near to Masjid Majek, a huge mosque which is the blog photo, we never made it inside unfortunately. Had a good curry tho. Al was deperate for an indian curry, so the compromise was a curry at a veggie restaurant.
After a few days in the city we decided to head for some peace & exploring for wildlife at Taman Negara.
