Hi there,
What an eventful day you had yesterday Ma...have to say my heart skipped a beat when I saw "home" calling on my phone...we were standing in the Amber fort at the time.
Jaipur, like the rest of India, has amazed and suprised us. Yesterday we took an elephant ride (her name was Lucky and she was 25 years old) to the top of the Amber fort. We were thinking, ok, yet another fort, but it was wonderful and another unique experience!
Our tour guide, Ajay took us out for some bazaar shopping which as fun, suprisingly I was much better at haggling than Phil!!!
After a couple of hours poolside we went out shopping again. Fi, found another Anhoki shop which was huge and had children's clothes and beautiful bed covers - you must go!
Last night we went out to dinner at a place called "A Royal Treat". The food was yum and I am not sick of Indian food yet! We also watched a cultural dance and the Indian lady had me up dancing with her! :) Phi lso kindly videoed to show you Miss A and Reg's.
This morning we toured an Indian observatory from 300 years ago and then we visited the city palace and viewed the musuems.
We have now arrived at the Samode Palace and all I can say is WOW! For every palace we have been in we kept trying to imagine what it woud have been like in it's day...now we know! The Samode palace is amazing and in it's near as possible original state and decor. We have been upgraded to the honeymoon suite and it is very pink, gorgeous white claw foot bathroom...took lots of photos to show you!
This avo we are lounging by the pool and then having a massage before drinks in the courtyard. We feel like royalty!
The whole trip has been amazing, but we are looking forward to seeing you all soon.
Have been upgraded to business class from Mumbai so the someone is looking after us!!!! Also good as bags are getting heavy and need the extra kg's...too bad we have to fly domestically to Mumbai tomorrow first!
Loads of love,
T & P
Lots of love to you all!
