After my trip to Siena, I realized I didn't have much time to sort things out for the rest of my trip. I had to find a cash machine that worked, get train tickets to Calabria, buy airport bus tickets for the morning, pack, make some dinner and call my aunt in Calabria to tell her when I'd be arriving. All of that went well. My aunt is so funny. I have not seen her in 32 years so it will be quite a reunion.
This morning I woke up around 4:30 am thinking about my trip. I realized I didn't buy my last train ticket from Naples to Rome. Ahhh!! Of course, knowing me, I started to over think things. Tried to fall asleep for another hour but there were interruptions, like the garbage truck outside my window with flashing red lights for 15 minutes!!!
I got out of bed, had breakfast and packed the rest of my bags. I checked out, walked to the train station, checked my bag, bought the missing train ticket, picked up a coffee and RAN to the bus station to make the 7:00 am bus to the airport. It was a steal at only 6€. Taxis are 20€. I arrive just in time!
I'm at the airport now. Check in went smoothly and I'm liking the light luggage! It looks like they will be building a new airport here. I hope they have an area for charging your devices. It's frustrating when they don't, especially this day and age! I have a couple of hours to wait til I board. Then a 4 hour layover in Paris. I won't arrive in London til 4:25.
The flight to Paris was fine. I just have to wait for a few hours for my next flight. Charles de Gaule is a beautiful airport. They even have these really comfy chairs that people can sleep on while they wait for their flight. I put a picture up as well.
I made it to London. My friend Paul was waiting while I was being interrogated at customs. Wow. They asked me everything but the colour of my underpants!!!
It took us a long time to get back to his place. He is an awesome host! We ordered Chinese, sat, ate and caught up on the past 12 years!!! Yes! 12 years. Where does the time go??
Q23
What is the name of the airport in Florence?
